Ximena Daza

Prior to co-founding Mozamo Engineering, Ximena gained 19 years of experience as a small business owner in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ximena is an excellent problem solver and critical thinker, and is known for her ability to make crucial observations and analyze test results to resolve complex issues. She has a proven record of results with satisfied clients, a highly-motivated staff, and implementation of outstanding operational frameworks, which have enabled her small business to meet and exceed target goals within a highly competitive industrial landscape.

Ximena has held executive leadership positions in practice management, human resource management, financial management and marketing. Ximena utilizes the financial information to make data driven recommendations on strategies to reduce business expenses and has delivered success in achieving year over year growth and increasing profitability. Ximena has a wealth of experience engaging with diverse clients and vendors in person and through social media. She has built a powerful network of business relationships which positively influence her success in business.

Ximena is a first generation Colombian American. She immigrated to the United States when she was just eight years old. Having lived in a developing country as a child, she always believed in achieving the American dream. She excelled in math and science and was exposed to many different science-based professions by participating in the Math, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) program during high school. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Santa Clara University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California at Berkeley. After working for various health centers and private optometry practices, Ximena started her own practice in 2002.

Ximena and her husband live in San Ramon with their three sons. They enjoy traveling, hiking and dining out at their favorite local restaurants.
